5 TIPS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Staying on track while enjoying the holiday festivities can be difficult! Here are some tips :) 1) Drink lots of water- well this is a tip for all the time, but especially around the holidays.Try and aim for 2 litres a day, and when there is alcohol involved add another cup per drink! 2) Portion out your plate. Protein source (your meat) your portion size is your palm.Females 1 serving Males 2 servingsVegetables serving size should be the size of your firstFemales 1 serving Males 2 servingsYour carbs (Sweet potato, mashed potato, stuffing) Portion size Is your cupped handFemales 1 servingMales 2 servings 3) Wait for seconds. It takes your body 20 minutes for your brain to realize you feel full that’s why sometimes you feel so tired and sometimes over full after big meals. 4) Make some yummy healthy snacks!One of my favourites!

Frozen Yogurt Bark

ingredients:(amount depends on size of your pan or tray)Vanilla yogurt Your favourite nuts (optional)Berries Dark chocolate(optional) Directions:Line pan with parchment paper. Fill with yogurt then add your Nuts, Berries, Chocolate.Put in freezer until completely frozen.Take out and break into piece,. Put in a container back in the freezer and enjoy when ever you want! 5) Stay activeCant make it to the gym? Go explore, go for a walk with your family!!See who can hold the longest plank.
